ProjectTech4Dev is a vertical under Dasra that aims to be a high performing tech enabler for nonprofits. At Project Tech4Dev, we provide solutions ranging from providing open source platforms to NGOs to building tech capacity in nonprofits. We equip non-profits with the technology they need to amplify their impact. Our open source platforms include- Glific, Development Data Platform, and Avni. We also build tech and data capacity in nonprofits by placing seasoned technology professionals with our Fractional CxO Program. Find more about our initiatives here.
In the fractional CxO role you will work with 1 or more NGOs at a given point of time (cost and time-sharing basis) in the capacity of CxO (x is a combination of Tech, Data and Tech Strategy)

Qualifications & Experiences
Engineering Degree with at least 10+ years of experience in technology. Experience working or volunteering in the social sector is important. For candidates transitioning from the corporate sector, we will arrange a short term volunteering assignment to ensure a fit between your goals and the sector’s needs.
• Deep knowledge and experience in one or more of the pillars of CxO engagements:
• Tech Strategy
• Technical engineering and Project/Program Management
• Data Analysis and/or Management
Skills & Competencies
• Technology professional with 10+ years experience with at least 3 years in a strategic and managerial role
• Relationship building and strong communication and presentation skills
• Learning and adapting mindset to fit with org needs, capabilities and constraints
• Developing and managing a team at all levels, including collaborating with staff in other parts of the organization to enable ideation and adoption of new technology
• Belief in technology as an enabler and not being vested in tech tools per se
• Mainly a capacity builder versus a doing on their own personality
• Approachable with a good attitude and empathy towards work done in the social sector
• Experience estimating and delivering software projects and/or product experience
• Familiar with cloud, modern software systems and open source technologies
Responsibilities
• Improving the NGO processes to build operational efficiencies, effectiveness, and decision making
• Designing and executing the tech + data strategy and roadmap
• Overseeing the design and implementation of software development projects
• Leading and inspiring the teams to identify the business needs, process gaps, and levers to build efficient systems with the use of technology
• Building the internal team’s capacity on technological tools and processes
• Identifying, building and managing relationships with partners who can build and deploy the necessary applications and technologies to meet the needs of the organization
Work Location and Travel
• Work remotely
• Connect with your local Project Tech4dev team once a week
• Required Travel every quarter for a week for Project Tech4dev team meeting
• Required to travel to NGO’s office as per the need of the engagement, typically once or twice a quarter
Pay Range
• We expect to hire candidates with significant differences in years of experience, skill level and reasons for moving to the social sector. As such, our pay range is a bit broader than normal
• The pay range for this position is expected to be between 30 LPA and 45 LPA
• Our goal is to build a great working environment and workplace culture and give folks the opportunity to visit and work with NGOs, attend local and national conferences, and work as a group once a quarter at a nice location and place
