I am Pradeep Kaushik and I joined Project Tech4Dev in August 2025, and from my very first conversation right from the interview process, one word kept ringing in my ears – “Sprint” Everyone I met mentioned it with a kind of reverence, like it was the secret sauce of life, universe and everything. So naturally, I started using it too. At one point I was casually telling people, “Yes, yes, I’ll definitely meet you during the sprint!” as if I knew exactly what that meant. Spoiler – I did not.

Having worked in tech and agile for years, my brain kept insisting, “Sprint is just… working together for two or more weeks and delivering something. What’s the big deal? Why are people speaking about it like it’s the Olympics (or the Oscars take your pick)?” But as it turns out, the sprint was special. More people, more energy, and more of everything!
“At Tech4Dev, ‘sprint’ translates loosely to – brace yourself for more introductions, more acronyms, and possibly more coffee than you’ve ever consumed before – but you love every moment of it”
In fact, in just my first two months, I ended up attending not one, but two back-to-back events – the Dalgo BizDev’s onboarding event for new NGOs on September 10th-11th, quickly followed by the sprint with our existing NGO customers. Clearly, Tech4Dev believes in the philosophy of throwing new hires straight into the deep end – with snacks, of course.

And honestly, I loved it. My biggest motivation to work in the social sector has always been to connect with NGOs, understand their missions, and contribute meaningfully to their amazing work. So getting to meet 7 NGOs at the onboarding event and another 8 during the sprint? That’s 15 in two months!
Sprint was also the time for teams to gather together in person and connect. It was really good to meet each and every member of Tech4Dev in-person over the week. Getting to know people, their backgrounds, their motivations and their passion was really interesting and helped inspire me all over again. I think I was able to chat or at least say “Hi” to each and every one of you. In effect I got an accelerated onboarding which enabled me to settle down and feel like a part of the team. Now, looking forward to the next sprint in Jan!
So, what’s in a sprint? Well, everything and more!
